The Great Lakes Agency for Peace and Development (GLAPD or ’glah-ped’) is a not-for-profit, organization helping migrants, refugees and asylum seekers from Africa and beyond settle in Australia.
Together we help people and communities thrive again
Many migrant families come from agricultural areas and prefer living and working in rural areas. Many regional areas in Australia have aging populations and are looking for young families with children to help revitalise their workforce, schools and communities.
Our Regional Settlement Program matches migrant and refugee families with rural communities.
